On Friday 7/14/06 we left Cincinnatti and drove op I-75 towards Detroit. After travelling through Dayton and Toledo, we entered Michigan for the first time in all of our lives. We got off the interstate for a few minutes to see the shores of Lake Erie. Then it was on to Detroit where we purchased our tickets and shopped at the Tiger's store. After that we checked in to the Marriott. We then headed for Comerica Park and watched the Tigers defeat the Royals in a stunning comeback 10-9. Tigers shortstop Carlos Guillen hit a walk off home run in the bottom of the 9th and Alabamian Todd Jones got the win for the best team in baseball so far this year. I plan on posting more about our trip later.
